A 10-week behavior change incentive program for mastery of aging for those 55+. Central to the AMP philosophy is the belief that modest lifestyle changes can produce big results and that people can be empowered and supported to cultivate health and longevity. Equally important, the program encourages mastery - developing sustainable behaviors across many dimensions that will lead to improved health, stronger financial security, and overall well-being. Each level of mastery is based on consistency and duration, allowing participates to set individual goals. Another key element of the program is the reward system, designed to both motivate and encourage ongoing participation. Weekly guest speakers come to not only educate but empower to move forward in the mastery of aging. Topics include: Navigating Longer Lives, Exercise and You, Sleep, Health Eating and Hydration, Financial Fitness, Medication Management, Advance Planning, Healthy Relationships, Falls Prevention, and Community Engagement.
Class meets Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 – 5:00pm beginning August 24 – October 26, 2016.
